What We're Doing

Before the rays of the sun falls upon the sand, before the rooster makes its morning call, and before most wake to the new day, we'll be ready. With both hands on the chair, Arnie will push his father a distance totalling 26.2 miles. We're doing this for a great man. On Sunday March 21 2010, the Martinez Family will be running with or supporting Arnulfo Martinez Sr. We're doing this in remembrance of when he once stepped upon the ground and walked with ease, to commemorate all he's done for us in the past, and to be with him as he experiences his first marathon ever! So look out LA Marathon because the Martinez Family is coming.

Why are you doing this? Cause Arnie said that if I didn’t he’d break my legs!!! No just kidding! It seems like a great opportunity and I love my daddy. I’m hoping to at least make a 10k but we all know I’m not a runner; bad knees, bad back, metal hip, prosthetic leg, etc., etc. (Again just kidding…except for the first two I’m serious about those.) I may not be able to run but frankly my dear I don’t give a damn because I will walk!!! Hopefully my kids can keep up with me because I have a feeling that Juan and I will leave them in the dust.
